Heel Tread Socks – Red 5

Only the number 1 has taken more wins in Formula 1 than the number 5 – thanks in part to Nigel Mansell. When the legendary Brit moved from Lotus to Williams in 1985 he first used the #5. And when Mansell’s car couldn’t easily be distinguished compared to his teammate Keke Rosberg’s, the #5 was changed from white to red before the Canadian Grand Prix. Mansell scored 27 wins with that number over the course of his career. The number-driver combo took on legend status during Mansell’s golden run that started in 1991 and finished with a world championship title in 1992. He continued to use the red #5 in CART, the BTCC and at Le Mans. With this new sock design you can revive Mansell Mania.
